Each year at Taste of the World, we award a community member with The Partnership Award to honor them for their indispensable contributions to ImmaCare and our clients. This year we are awarding The Partnership Award to Carol Rizzo, Niki Bordieri and Darlene Ferguson, also known as “The Grinder Ladies,” a devoted and beloved Food Group that has been serving the men of the Shelter for 15 years. First through St. James in Rocky Hill and now through St. Josephine Bakhita, they have introduced more than 500 Confirmation Students to ImmaCare’s Shelter. Students have collected items for Outreach, prepared meatballs for grinders, and served home cooked meals with love while learning what “giving back” is truly all about!
