Ainabetse Arciniega began her career at ImmaCare in September 2008 as a residential counselor in the shelter. She followed in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother who volunteered with ImmaCare since its founding. Ms. Arciniega has grown within the agency throughout the years, starting as a residential counselor at the shelter, then transitioning to case manager roles in both the shelter and housing. Upon completion of the shelter renovations and rebranding the emergency shelter to the Housing Navigation Center, Ms. Arciniega became the Housing Navigation Center Manager. Although Ms. Arciniega loved being a housing case manager, she always stated that her heart was in the shelter and that she would return one day to work there. Ms. Arciniega shared “I have returned to where my heart is. Working in the Housing Navigation Center brings me fulfillment knowing that I play such a huge role in helping the individuals we serve find their ‘happy place’.”
