A Historical Paper Flight
As you know, the shelter renovations project has been “in the making” for years. Executive Director Louis Gilbert had noticed a paper airplane up in one of the light fixtures, and often commented that he wanted to get it once the renovations started. As he was walking through the shelter this week, he looked up and sure enough, didn’t see the paper airplane- but where was it? He found it on the floor under the light. It was a church bulletin from November 24, 1991, nearly 28 years ago to the day. One can’t wonder who the young child was that flew the plane up there, and what, if any, trouble they got in!
