Joe the Barber is an icon here at ImmaCare. He was a member of our board long ago, back when we were Immaculate Conception Shelter & Housing Corporation, and after speaking with him recently, he told me he still loves his “Because Housing is a Human Right” t-shirts and wears them often. He is also a celebrity in his own right, as he was featured nationally on CBS News in 2013. Joe still gives haircuts on Wednesday evenings, along with sharing hugs and sandwiches. We are lucky to have had his support for so many years.
