RHHS Lend A Paw Day of Service
Recently a group of students from Rocky Hill High School came to ImmaCare’s Shelter as part of the Lend a Paw Day of Service Program. Not only did their efforts help organize the clothing donation room, they also brought the ingredients, prepared, and served the most delicious lunch to the clients of the Shelter! They had “build-your-own” grinders with all of the fixins’, tuna macaroni salad and chips! For dessert there were ice cream sandwiches, homemade cookies (baked right at the shelter!) and Oreos! We realize that the students felt fulfilled after their day of service, however, we are the lucky ones who get to be on the receiving side of such altruistic kindness. Thank you, Carol Rizzo and Niki Bordieri of the Grinder Ladies (St. Josephine Bakhita Parish) for your unending advocacy to help ImmaCare in any way you can – including suggesting that the Rocky Hill High School Lend a Paw program select ImmaCare for their special day of service! Students and teachers alike did an amazing job!
